We've often been asked, "What's the long term vision for Crossfire Ranch, if money were not an issue?" It's a great question to just let the flow of images pour in and construct what would leave a legacy of hope, healing and restoration for today's generations and those yet to come.
Our response has remained the same over the years...to have a property of our own where we can continue serve and expand our ability to share true hope and healing as effectively as possible to our local communities and beyond. The vision has never been small!
2024 brought about a huge change, and we feel God has brought Crossfire to a chapter that is bursting with opportunity, a thick, rich chapter that is waiting to be penned. A chapter that congeals what we've learned, where we've been and takes it forward into more opportunities of hope and healing to those who are challenged with emotional, social and mental health issues. We don't see the need going away, but something that will be ongoing to say the least. We live in an unsettling time. Our prayer is that Crossfire Ranch will be a place of consistency, refuge, hpe and healing for generations to come. It will be needed...it already is needed!
In May of 2024 we believe God brought us "home"! Having boarded at a variety of locations and running into various barriers &/or reaching our capacity, the journey has only reinforced the need for our own space. Crossfire had connected with Gary Barnes through Sweeny's Outfitters and then a growing friendship which lead to all kinds of good conversations, which included potentially purchasing his forty acre property. When the previous barn owner was approached with an opportunity to grow his business he called Crossfire regarding the space he would need to do so. After multiple board conversations the board agreed it would benefit everyone concerned, the call was made to Gary to start off leasing... he was already on deck with the idea. By June 1 we had relocated, only minutes from our previous location which meant little to no disruption for the counties and families we already serve. One of our big desires was to be within a reasonable distance so we would not have to stop serving those we already were in significant relationship with. We simply could not have imagined all of this falling into place so well!.
And now the next steps!!! We've moved in. We have a contract with Gary that gives us the first right to purchase this amazing property that will serve the community well for years and years to come.

The first goal is to purchase the property, followed by completing basic necessary updates to fully move in and purchase foundational equipment that would allow for needed maintenance and usage.

We invite you to join the expanding mission of hope and healing that is a part of every aspect of Crossfire Ranch. We need your help to purchase property and increase our capacity to change the course of the lives of children in our backyards. Currently, we serve approximately 60 kids a year which puts us at the maximum number of youth & families our capacity allows us to serve. The number of those in need is much greater than 60.
Abandoned, rejected, lonely, unloved…those are just some of the words that Crossfire youth have used to describe themselves when they first come to the ranch. But then… they meet a horse and a mentor that walks alongside them...their words change, often drastically so! As the layers of hurt and fear begin to peel back, they learn trust, respect, communication, how to love, and how to be loved.
Please prayerfully consider being a partner in hope through our capital campaign. All campaign monies will go into a seperate account for the sole purpose of his campaign. Funds raised beyond initial expenses will be put in an endowment fund for property related expenses.
